The American Good Design Award was founded by the American International Award Association, and held by International Award Association Limited,^[1] with the aim of discovering global excellent design and providing a global platform for outstanding designers to showcase their excellent design works. The juries for the American Good Design Award are from outstanding design experts, design directors, and business founders from various fields around the world,^[2] and adopt a strict confidentiality evaluation system to ensure fairness in the evaluation.^[3] The outstanding design works that have won the American Good Design Award in the past have greatly impacted people’s lives and enhanced the living standards of society, and have stimulated social innovation.^{[citation needed]}

The entries must be original designs and will be commercially produced or sold within three years. The entries can be any type of design including but not limited to product design, graphic design, concept design UI design, etc. The selection of participating works will be conducted by a professional jury, with evaluation criteria including design originality, practicality,innovation, aesthetics, etc.^[3]

The registration period for the American Good Design Award runs from November of the current year to April of the following year, divided into Early Bird, Regular, and Latecomer phases. Based on the registration timing, the participation fees are categorized into Early Bird, Regular, and Final Period tiers, with prices ranging from 195 to 315 US Dollar.^[3]

Winning the American Good Design Award enhances industry reputation, brand awareness, design innovation, enterprise competitiveness, designer careers, product quality/user experience, and sustainable development through its authoritative recognition of excellence in design, practicality, and social responsibility.^[3]
