Upcoming Indian film by Aditya Dhar
Dhurandhar Part 2 (transl. Stalwart Part 2) is an upcoming Indian Hindi-language spy action thriller film written, directed, and co-produced by Aditya Dhar. Produced by Jyoti Deshpande, Aditya Dhar, and Lokesh Dhar under the banners Jio Studios and B62 Studios. It’s a sequel to Dhurandhar (2025) and stars Ranveer Singh, Sanjay Dutt, Akshaye Khanna, R. Madhavan, Arjun Rampal, Sara Arjun, and Rakesh Bedi.
Initially planned as a single film, the makers later decided to make the film a two-part release.[4] Both the parts were shot together as a single project. The original plan was to release one long film, but the large amount of footage and story complexity led the makers to split it into two parts during post-production process.[5][6]
Singh, Dutt, Madhavan, Rampal, Sara Arjun, Rakesh Bedi and others will reprise their roles from the previous part.
Principal photography began in July 2024 in Bangkok.[7][8] The second schedule commenced in November 2024 at the Golden Temple, Amritsar.[9] In February 2025, filming took place in Filmistan, Mumbai.[10] A schedule took place in Madh Island which was wrapped by late April 2025.[11] In May 2025, some action sequences were filmed at the Dombvili–Mankoli bridge.[12] In July 2025, a dance number was shot at the Golden Tobacco Factory in Vile Parle.[13] Several scenes set in Pakistan were re-created in Thailand.[14] Additional filming also took place in Khera village in Ludhiana, where the production recreated Pakistan-set sequences.[15][16] In August 2025, filming moved to Ladakh, however it was halted after more than one hundred crew members were hospitalised due to food poisoning.[17] In September 2025, the major film scenes were shot in Kasauli, Himachal Pradesh.[18][19] Singh wrapped his portions in October 2025.[20] Filming was also simultaneously wrapped in the same month.[21]
Dhurandhar‘s post-credits scene showcased the continuation of the story with a cliffhanger. The second part was announced to theatrically release on 19 March 2026, clashing with Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown-Ups and Dacoit: A Love Story.[22][23]
The digital streaming rights for both parts were acquired by Netflix for ₹130 crore.[24]
