Filipino singer and recording artist

Joice Espinoza (born June 6, 2007) is a Filipino singer. She first appeared on national television in 2023 as a daily winner on the Tawag ng Tanghalan segment of ABS-CBN’s program It’s Showtime. In 2024, she participated in GMA Network’s TiktoClock: Tanghalan ng Champion as a daily contender.

Espinoza released her debut single “Pangako Mo” in 2024, written by John Rey Malto.[1] The song earned several international recognitions, including a Silver Medal at the 2024 Global Music Awards[2] and Best Musical at the 2024 Europe Music Video Awards.[3] It also received honors at the Parai Musical International Awards in Chennai, India,[4] and at the World Music & Independent Film Festival, where it won Best Music Video in Southeast Asia and Best Asian Song in Southeast Asia.[5][6][7][8]

In 2025, Espinoza was nominated for Best New Female Artist at the 37th Aliw Awards, a major award-giving organization in the Philippines that honors achievements in live entertainment.[9][10][11]

Joice Espinoza grew up in Olongapo City, Philippines. From a young age, she showed a strong interest in singing and often joined local singing contests in her community. Her early experiences on small stages eventually encouraged her to audition for singing competitions on national television, where she later gained public recognition.[12][13]

In 2023, Espinoza competed in Tawag ng Tanghalan on ABS-CBN’s It’s Showtime,[14] where she became a daily winner. The following year, she appeared on GMA Network’s TiktoClock: Tanghalan ng Kampeon as a daily contender.[15] These television appearances helped introduce her to a wider audience and established her as an emerging performer in the Philippine music scene.

Her first single, “Pangako Mo,” written and composed by John Rey Malto, was released in 2024. The song features pop-ballad elements and lyrics centered on themes of love and commitment. It received multiple international recognitions. Espinoza’s second single, “Hanggang sa Muli,” is scheduled for release in December 2025.[16]
