No-Q is a Canadian mobile ordering and payment platform designed to eliminate physical queues at festivals, markets, and high-traffic retail environments. The platform enables customers to scan a QR code or tap a link to access a vendor’s digital storefront, place an order, and pay from their phone, reducing on-site congestion and allowing vendors to process more transactions efficiently.
No-Q positions itself as a “queue-elimination” and “high-traffic retail optimization” solution for events and multi-vendor environments.[1]
History and Founding

No-Q was developed by Axer Technology, a Calgary-based startup founded by technologists with backgrounds in product design and software engineering. The founders created No-Q to address recurring challenges at events with heavy foot-traffic, long wait times, and slow vendor throughput. The platform was featured in an October 2025 Calgary.Tech article highlighting how No-Q helps “skip the vendor lines” at festivals. [2]

- Multi-vendor support for events: For festivals, markets, or large venues with many vendors, No-Q provides a unified ordering interface so guests can browse all traders in one place.
- Real-time vendor & event management dashboard: Organizers and vendors can monitor sales, track performance, inventory, and customer behavior to make data-driven decisions.
- Event-level management: for organizers to coordinate multiple vendors, payout structures, and marketplace operations.
These capabilities aim to reduce event queues, improve sales velocity, and enhance guest experience at festivals, food markets, and other crowded venues.
No-Q is designed for high-traffic, queue-prone environments, including:

In fall of 2025, No-Q announced a partnership with The Collective Market, a Calgary-based artisan and small-business marketplace. The collaboration enables participating vendors to accept mobile orders during pop-up events, reducing long queues and increasing order throughput. The partnership was highlighted on the official No-Q website as part of the company’s commitment to supporting local, neighborhood-based vendors.[3]
No-Q also partnered with Carifest, one of Western Canada’s largest Caribbean cultural festivals. Through this partnership, attendees could scan an event-level QR code to browse multiple food and merchandise vendors, place mobile orders, and avoid long festival queues. The partnership positioned No-Q as a tool for large-scale cultural events seeking to reduce congestion and improve attendee experience.
The platform gained public attention when Calgary.Tech published a feature article titled “Calgary Start-up No-Q helps vendors skip the lines at festivals”, describing its impact on vendor operations and guest experience in crowded event settings. The article noted that the platform addresses “one of the biggest pain points at festivals—long lines.”
