All regions in New Jersey came together for a veterans performance, funded by AmeriCorps and Youth Service America.

Solis and Luna Arts (also known as SLA) is an international 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to promoting healing and wellness through different creative therapies. SLA offers numerous avenues for doing so, which include therapeutic music concerts, therapeutic art sessions, therapeutic floral bouquet-making, and therapeutic nail art. The organization focuses on patients’ well-being and happiness by asking patients what they would like to see, do, or hear before each creative session.[1][2]

Solis and Luna Arts (SLA) was founded in 2021 by Chloey Cho as a club at Bergen County Academies in Hackensack, New Jersey and later scaled as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit in 2022.

Chloey started SLA after performing music for her grandfather, who was a war veteran suffering from post-traumatic stress disorder and anxiety[3]. She noticed the positive impacts it had on his physical, mental, and emotional health, which inspired her to reach more people who suffered from similar ailments. [4]

Though SLA initially began as an organization centered primarily on therapeutic music concerts, it began branching to various other creative therapies in 2025, with its first therapeutic art region forming in August 2025.

Solis and Luna Arts (SLA) began in Hackensack, New Jersey as a small club at Bergen County Academies. Chloey encouraged students in her high school to join the club and recognize the importance of therapeutic music on people’s well-being. Soon, she reached the limit of members she could have in her club. During the first year of SLA, the Bergen County region alone performed six concerts at different venues and hospitals, which include Bergen New Bridge Medical Center, New Jersey Veterans Home at Paramus, Thrive at Montvale in NJ, and Englewood Cliffs Upper School.[5]

In 2022, SLA established its first chapters outside of New Jersey in California and Washington. By leveraging their social media, they were able to attract students with like-minded ambitions from across the country.

By 2025, SLA had over 50 regions across 15 states and 10 countries, over 600 volunteers, and impacted over 15,000 patients globally.
