Ejen Ali: The Movie 2 (abbreviated as EATM2, sometimes also subtitled Mission: SATRIA) is a Malaysian animated action-spy film directed by Usamah Zaid Yasin, that premiered on May 22, 2025.^[3][4][5][6] The movie focuses on Ali’s struggle with the emergence of the SATRIA armored suit and the character Neonimus.^[7][8][9]

It is the second film produced by WAU Animation after Ejen Ali: The Movie (2019). It is a continuation of the third season of the Ejen Ali series. Ejen Ali: The Movie 2 has grossed RM55.1 million by June 2025, and became the highest-ever grossing animated film in Malaysia.^[10]

Alicia inherits the I.R.I.S. from its previous holder Ali, who is left in charge of Project S.A.T.R.I.A., an experimental artificially intelligent armour suit created by Tekno head Dayang. Dato Othman appoints Amir and Elle as the replacement Neuro and Inviso pillar leaders, and Rizwan, joined by previous Numeros agents Dos and Trez, requests Ali to find Numeros leader Cero’s true identity by leaking classified M.A.T.A. reports which Ali declines.

At home, Ali is blackmailed by Neonimus, a rogue former M.A.T.A. Academy agent expelled for behavioural problems with the ability to hack and remotely access electronics, into leaking all the M.A.T.A.’s agents identities, arranging an attack on the Cyberaya SMART Tunnel. M.A.T.A. arranges an infiltration on Neonimus utilising him and Ali’s battle to trial S.A.T.R.I.A. where Alicia saves the others from Neonimus’ robots. The agents are then assigned to capture Neonimus in the Cybertopia amusement park as he prepares another attack. There, Neonimus captures Alicia, and hacks into the S.A.T.R.I.A. suit. After Alicia receives a premonition of S.A.T.R.I.A. destroying M.A.T.A. from I.R.I.S., Ali prepares to kill Neonimus but is intercepted by General Rama.

Having himself detained, Neonimus uploads his virus into the M.A.T.A. headquarters, allowing Cero to control its electronics. Ali equips S.A.T.R.I.A. despite the risk of Cero overriding the already-compromised suit, turning Ali against the agents in the base including Alicia, who is given back IRIS after Rama wanted to return it to Dayang. Defeated, Alicia hands Ali the I.R.I.S., pleading him to defeat S.A.T.R.I.A., before Cero transfers her into it. Cero tells Ali his plans to liberate Cyberaya by undermining their corrupt leadership, and that Alicia was transferred due to her more rapid neural activity, allowing higher compatibility with S.A.T.R.I.A. After Dos knocks out Neonimus, Rizwan encourages Ali to save Cyberaya from Cero.

As Dato Othman retreats to an unknown island, Dayang gives pillar heads Amir and Elle S.A.T.R.I.A.’s location, denouncing their cowardly decision to stay behind and protect Othman; Ali reverse-engineers Neonimus’ virus using I.R.I.S. and Neonimus’ controller which Ali stopped Trez from destroying, allowing him to purge it from M.A.T.A.’s headquarters. After a brief skirmish, Ali overrides I.R.I.S. to stop Cero from blowing up Cyberaya’s central reactor, which would cause a chain explosion with the nearby underwater Azurium reserves to wipe out Cyberaya as the governors retreat to the unknown island, while Rizwan physically distracts S.A.T.R.I.A. Cero then absorbs the M.A.T.A. pillar heads’ data and begins torturing Ali with his past traumatic experiences, before Alicia breaks free from S.A.T.R.I.A.’s core. Ali apologises to her, and the two manipulate the space around the core to defeat Cero. Ali deploys one of Neonimus’ robots he transferred to the I.R.I.S. dimension after overriding, opening a black hole which destroys the core. As they escape, Cero attempts to drag Ali into the void with him, but Alicia sacrifices herself to help Ali escape, letting herself fall into the void with Cero.

Dayang fails to decommission SATRIA as Othman removes her position as Tekno pillar head, having her transfer management of S.A.T.R.I.A. to him from the dangers it posed to Cyberaya. After the examinations, Ali visits a now-amnesiac Alicia in the hospital, returning IRIS to her.

In credit-scenes, Rizwan hands Neonimus’ controller containing his plans and communication logs to Dayang; Ali oddly fails to access Alicia’s older records due to insufficient clearance.

The film is expected to cost RM 10 million, which is higher than the first film’s budget of RM 6.5 million. Production work began in early 2023 and involved local talent.^[11]

WAU Animation also partnered with Tenaga Nasional Berhad as the main sponsor.^[7]

The film’s score is composed by Azri Yunus, as in the first movie.

The song “Hanya Kamu” performed by Dato’ M. Nasir was released as the film’s theme song. It was co-written by Dato’ M. Nasir and Azri Yunus.^[12]

WAU Animation officially announced the project on 13 September 2024 at the Malaysia Digital Content Festival 2024, revealing a first look at the SATRIA suit that will appear in the second film.^[11] A second teaser video was released on 13 December 2024, introducing Neonimus as one of the new characters.^[7] The third teaser was officially launched on 16 February 2025 during the 39th Anugerah Juara Lagu (AJL) along with a special performance of “Hanya Kamu” by Dato’ M. Nasir.^{[12][3][13][14]}
