Indian sex offender and actor
Gunalan Morgan (born 1982) is a Singaporean–Indian convicted sex offender who was an actor, radio jockey and television host based in Singapore and who has appeared in Tamil cinema.[2]
Gunalan started his career as an actor with the Singaporean Tamil film Gurushetram – 24 Hours of Anger (2010) playing a supporting role in the film alongside actors Vishnu Andhakrishnan and Sivakumar Palakrishnan.[3]
In later 2010, Gunalan made his television debut in the series Vettai: Pledged to Hunt. He played the main role of the series as the character Mugi.[4]
He also became a radio jockey for the Singapore Tamil radio station Oli 968.[5]
In 2025, Gunalan was handed seven charges at the State Courts of Singapore. Four of which are related to sex offences. Mediacorp said “Gunalan was immediately suspended from work after the company became aware of his arrest, and that a termination notice has been served on him”. Gunalan was also accused of deliberately deleting Instagram conversations with the minor victim on 16 September 2024, after he was informed that a police report had been lodged against him.[6]
