Mosque in Jiezi, Xunhua, Qinghai, China
The Jiezi Mosque (Chinese: 街子清真寺; pinyin: Jiēzǐ Qīngzhēnsì) is a Salar mosque. It is located in Jiezi Town, Xunhua Salar Autonomous County, Qinghai Province, China. The mosque was built in the early years of the Ming dynasty and later extended. It serves as a place of worship for the Salar Muslim minority and is also the second-largest mosque in Qinghai Province. It houses a rare hand-written copy of the Quran which is according to the National Catalogue of Precious Ancient Books (国家珍贵古籍名录, MOC) on the website of the National Library of China reputed to date to the 13th century.[1][2]
