River in Germany
Krombach is a small river of Bavaria, Germany. It flows into the Kahl in Blankenbach.
The Krombach rises northwest of the village of Krombach (district of Aschaffenburg) and flows generally northwest through the Krombach valley, passing small settlements and agricultural land. It then crosses into the municipality of Blankenbach and discharges into the Kahl at Großblankenbach. Over its course the stream descends approximately 110 metres.[1]
Named tributaries include the Gitzenbach and the Ohlenbach, among smaller unnamed brooks in the valley.[citation needed]
The river is part of the Rhine basin via the progression: Krombach → Kahl → Main → Rhine → North Sea. The catchment is mainly upland forest and small-scale agricultural land typical of the Spessart region.[citation needed]
