Upcoming 2026 Indian film
Mardaani 3 is an upcoming Indian Hindi language crime thriller film directed by Abhiraj Minawala and produced by Aditya Chopra under Yash Raj Films. A sequel to Mardaani 2 (2019) and third instalment in the Mardaani film series, the film stars Rani Mukerji in the lead role.[1]
Mardaani 3 is scheduled to release on 27 February 2026.[2]
The film was announced by Yash Raj Films in December 2024, with Rani Mukerji reprising her role.[3] Abhiraj Minawala was signed as the director, replacing Gopi Puthran, the writer and director of the prequel. Janki Bodiwala was cast in a pivotal role in April 2025, portraying the role of a police officer.[4][5]
Principal photography began in April 2025 and took place in Mumbai, Delhi, Pondicherry, and Sri Lanka, concluding in November 2025.[6][7]
