Upcoming Pokémon game
Video game
Pokémon Pokopia is an upcoming life simulation game published by Nintendo for the Nintendo Switch 2. It is a spin-off of the main Pokémon series.[1]
Gameplay
Players control a Ditto who is imitating a human.[2] The game features crafting and building mechanics that players use to befriend new pokémon.[3] As players progress and build the area around them they attract more pokemon. The game has a day and night cycle linked to real world time and features different biomes.[4][5]
Development
The game was announced during a Nintendo Direct in September 2025, the start of the 40th anniversary of Super Mario Bros celebration.[6][7] It is set to release in 2026.[8]
