Reiner Hanschke (9 December 1940 – 30 June 2015)[1] was a German field hockey player. Playing at club level for
SC Leipzig, he earned 10 international caps with the East Germany men’s national field hockey team in the early 1960s.[2] Hanschke was a member of the United Team of Germany that contested the field hockey tournament at the 1964 Summer Olympics in Tokyo.[3][4][5] Hanschke, whose qualifications were in medicine,[1] retired from competition in 1969.[6] He died in Leipzig in 2015.[1]
