The Šešlija brotherhood is a Serbian lineage originating from the Trebjesa,Nikšić region in present-day Montenegro. According to genealogical research, the family is a branch of the older Milobratović line (related to the Hrabren-Miloradović noble house) which migrated to the village of Podosoje, Bileća near Bileća in the 15th century to escape Ottoman expansion. Over the following 550 years, members of the brotherhood settled in various regions, including Kosovo (beginning in 1913) and following Colonization of Vojvodina in 1945).[1]
