“Enrile knew that he had to break away from the increasingly unpopular Marcos dictatorship.”
Although a very plausible explanation for his actions, not something fit for an encyclopedia. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Notneps (talk • contribs) 19:28, 28 January 2012 (UTC)

If his parents were not married, surely his surname is Furagganan not Enrile? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 203.184.41.226 (talk) 07:44, 7 June 2013 (UTC)

The Feb 14 1924 date has been in the article for years, but has been subject to significant vandalism and appears to be unsourced. Can anyone provide a reliable source for this date (or whatever date)?
- Never mind, his Senate bio http://www.senate.gov.ph/senators/sen_bio/enrile_resume.asp confirms it. Meters (talk) 19:23, 26 March 2020 (UTC)
JPE being immortal became a meme about 3 years ago, because of that, this article has been subjected to repeated vandalisms including changing “The Honorable” to “The Immortal” and also changing his birthdate to 1,000 B.C (something like that) Damskiee29 (talk) 11:10, 20 February 2023 (UTC)
- It’s very annoying. The page needs to be locked. —Jkaharper (talk) 11:17, 20 February 2023 (UTC)
Did anyone explain why the mentioned birth date on June 22, 1922, is from the source? 123 ~2025-32431-94 (talk) 00:22, 12 November 2025 (UTC)
- His son claims he was born in 1922. Everywhere else says 1924. We don’t go off of what one individual says. Jkaharper (talk) 00:32, 12 November 2025 (UTC)
- Well we can wait if they show the actual baptismal records before anyone changes it. ~2025-32877-76 (talk) 05:25, 12 November 2025 (UTC)
Now that Juan Ponce Enrile died today, we have to change his photograph, so I know what three photos we choose:
