A documentary broadcast on the 29th October 2023 on France 5 television channel, shows Makino under a completely different light
As someone who didn’t want war against China, the US and who opposed expansionism
Could it be that the Wikipedia article is completely wrong in its assessment ?

This article refers to Saionji Kinmochi as “Marquis Saionji” multiple times. I think this error was picked up from this piece https://www.jstor.org/stable/2187975?seq=2. It’s not like he was called by it. It’s just the title given to those without a listed government position. I can get around to fixing it eventually 129.63.248.1 (talk) 22:27, 17 April 2025 (UTC)
- Saionji was a Marquis in the Kazoku until he was raised to Prince in 1920. Mispoulet (talk) 07:58, 18 April 2025 (UTC)
