American soccer player (born 2002)
Agustine ‘Tino” Puentes (born October 14, 2004) is a professional soccer player who plays as a midfielder for New York Cosmos in the USL League One.
Career
Youth, college and amateur
Born in Garwood, New Jersey, Cabrera played youth soccer in New Jersey with local clubs, including Cedar Stars Academy. He also played high school soccer at Arthur L. Johnson High School.[1]
In 2021, Puentes attended Drew University to play college soccer. He played for four season with the Rangers, making 72 appearances and scoring 7 goals and recording 7 assists. While with Drew he was regarded as one of the best central midfielders in the Landmark Conference, and earned numerous accolades.[2]
During his time at college, Puentes also played in the USL League Two with Morris Elite SC. In two seasons with the club be scored 5 goals.[3]
Professional
New York Cosmos
On December 3, 2025, Puentes signed his first professional contract, joining USL League One side New York Cosmos, signing his first professional contract ahead of their return to professional competition. [4]
