The ill-fated bus, en route to Lahore from Islamabad, veered off the road after a tyre burst near Balkassar, causing the driver to lose control. The vehicle plunged into a ditch and overturned, resulting in a tragic loss of lives.

Rescue officials confirmed that eight passengers died on the spot, while another succumbed to injuries at the hospital. Among the deceased was the bus driver.

“There were more than 40 passengers onboard at the time of the accident,” stated Rescue 1122.
