Welcome to Wikipedia!
Hello IP user. Welcome to Wikipedia and thank you for your contributions!

I’m Paine Ellsworth, one of the other editors here, and I hope you decide to stay and help contribute to this amazing repository of knowledge. Although you’re free to perform most tasks on Wikipedia without registering, it’s highly recommended you create an account as there are many added benefits. It’s private and secure and it’s also free, simple, and quick to do.

Alternatively, leave me a message at my talk page or type {{Help me}} here on your talk page and someone will try to help.

To get some practice editing you can use a sandbox. If you register an account, you can create your own personal sandbox for use any time. It’s perfect for working on bigger projects. Then for easy access in the future, you could put a link to it on your user page.

Please remember to:

  • Always sign your posts on talk pages. You can do this either by clicking on the button on the edit toolbar or by typing four tildes ~~~~ at the end of your post. This will automatically insert your IP address linked to your contributions page (however, if you create an account, your IP address will be hidden and you will be able to build a custom signature that can link to your own user page), a link to this IP’s talk page, and a timestamp.
  • Leave descriptive edit summaries for your edits. Doing so helps other editors understand what changes you have made and why you made them.

The best way to learn about something is to experience it. Explore, learn, contribute, and don’t forget to have some fun!

The comment the reviewer left was:

Non-notable location based on the sources provided. Only one of the citations, GNIS, mentions Shellville Colony at all, and it isn’t sufficient for establishing notability. Ref. 3 is just a map viewer and thus can’t support the claim it’s cited for, and Ref. 4 (again) doesn’t mention the place. The USGS topo map archive shows this place was called Shellville Colony in the 1916 map: [1], but the name then disappeared beginning in 1951 and didn’t reappear until 2012. So we simply don’t have enough information about this place to have an article; the location is actually better described in the Charles O’Rear article. If more info is found we can reconsider.

Please check the submission for any additional comments left by the reviewer. You are encouraged to edit the submission to address the issues raised and resubmit after they have been resolved.

Fails WP:NPLACE. Roadside Thoughts and GNIS are not considered reliable sources, and the post office history is fine for verifiability but not notability.
