I’d point to WP:AFC but you can just ask me in the future to review the page directly – there are some problems though which bar publishing of the page as an article, since your draft lacks any reliable sources. @Its Lido: Hi, to be totally fair your SPI is pointless as there are no socks listed and no credible proof of them socking (see also WP:SOCKING) – if they made personal attacks I’d suggest taking it to WP:ANI but they have been already indeffed so I’d consider the case closed. A SPI clerk will likely appropriately handle your request. Or did I perhaps miss something and you need composing an SPI with socks included? Hi A09. Thanks for being my mentor. I’m having trouble getting an article published having been through two rounds of review. There is very little formally published material on the subject (Diploma of Cosmetic Tattooing) and subject area. The majority of my references (22 in total) are government websites and regulatory informnation. Both reviewers have said there needs to be more citation of publications, so I am at a loss as to what else can be done. Reviewers have also said that it looks like the article was written by AI, and nothing could be further from the truth (all my own work, and at this stage an LLM would be incapable of generating such an article).

@RobMcGo: Hey and welcome. Sorry for a late response but I’ve taken some time to think about it and try to learn more about the subject. While I don’t necessarily agree with your previous reviewers there are still some thing you could improve. The biggest improvement I see is that you could make a new draft and switch things around, ie. speak about the overall tatooing diploma in general and then provide examples of those (in Australia, UK, USA …). That way you’ll have plenty of sourcing available, because so far sources you have provided don’t prove WP:GNG – are there any sources outside governmental ones that talk about this course/diploma? Those could be useful as well and will establish general notability (because having different articles on every course that has a mention in a govt file would be at least unencyclopaedic). You could also ask for guidance on Wikipedia:WikiProject Articles for creation/Help desk if you feel my answer has been incomplete. Best regards, A09|(talk) 16:06, 1 October 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you very much for your guidance. This is turning into a marathon, but I agree with your comment about a new draft. Can this be achieved by editing the existing version or is it literally necessary to start from scratch? There was a lot of work in the existing version. For the re/new draft I will look to take a more global overview of cosmetic tattoo training. From all my investigations and a depth of industry knowldge, there is not a diploma in other countries, and very little government recognised training outside Australia. It is the blight of the industry.

I have read that it is not necessary to hyperlink citations, which is helpful as I have written articles on the subject in a print journal that can also be accessed online by association memebers only (i.e., not linkable).

@RobMcGo: Of course, having multiple drafts isn’t prohibited and we all have unfinished articles laying around XD While the refactory could be achieved on the current draft it’s much easier to just start on a new one, but I’ll leave that decision to you. Citing sources that are offline/paywalled is also not forbidden, I suggest you look at {{cite journal}}, which will help you properly format the references (especially regarding the membership-only access, see Subscription or registration required section).
