== On discovering Wikipedia slowly ==

Hi User:Abahiii, and welcome to Wikipedia! I hope you enjoy being part of this collaborative informational project.

I noticed that your edits so far have mostly been in a Draft article you have created, which seems to have been rejected for many reasons. You seem a little discouraged about the matter as well:

””Sadly i couldn’t even start discovering wikipedia slowly without being slammed by multiple ‘og’ members””

That certainly does sound quite annoying! We want to be a welcoming place, but in a such a big community that’s been around for so long, and that has faced a lot of scrutiny, Wikipedians can be a little bitey. Don’t get scared off — you belong on Wikipedia just as much as anyone else!

I think something that may help you is editing some existing articles. You have stated your draft creation as “discovering Wikipedia slowly” — but on Wikipedia, creating an article is actually a very big undertaking that often is quickly scrutinized! This is because we have strict standards for notability — coverage by reliable sources — and many other Wikipedian policies come into play on the creation of an article, like NPOV. Wikipedia articles are like articles in a published encyclopedia — they are important subjects that should be read about to get an understanding of the world — and so Wikipedians consider them a community effort and don’t take more trivial or deeply flawed creations that easily.

So try to edit existing articles! You get to apply more specific knowledge and will understand the editing process in a slower way. There’s nothing lesser about editing existing articles — that’s usually the bulk of what Wikipedians do. You also get to look at the scope of Wikipedia and see what articles it has — and what it doesn’t.

Happy editing! [[User:OmegaMantis|✨ΩmegaMantis✨]][[User talk:OmegaMantis|blather]] 18:34, 9 December 2025 (UTC)

Your recent article submission to Articles for Creation has been reviewed. Unfortunately, it has not been accepted at this time. The reason left by Theroadislong was:

This draft’s references do not show that the subject qualifies for a Wikipedia article. In summary, the draft needs multiple published sources that are:

Make sure you add references that meet these criteria before resubmitting. Learn about mistakes to avoid when addressing this issue. If no additional references exist, the subject is not suitable for Wikipedia.

The comment the reviewer left was:

sources are very poor

Please check the submission for any additional comments left by the reviewer. You are encouraged to edit the submission to address the issues raised and resubmit after they have been resolved.

A tag has been placed on Draft:CN-RHA / 787-9 requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia, as it exhibits signs of having been generated by an AI model with no clear human review. Text produced by these applications can be unsuitable for an encyclopedia and output must be carefully checked.
For further information, see the section G15 of the criteria for speedy deletion.

If you think these signs were incorrectly identified and you assert that you did carefully check the content, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled “Contest this speedy deletion”. This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia’s policies and guidelines. Additionally – if you would like to create an article but find it difficult, please ask for help at the Teahouse. Gurkubondinn (talk) 11:04, 9 December 2025 (UTC)[reply]
