Do you have access to Cambridge university press through being a student at Cambridge or is that through another university? I’m looking through university libraries right now for some obscure books regarding Latin American history. Avocadopiu (talk) 03:00, 18 October 2025 (UTC)[reply]

So, would be willing to scan some books from your university’s library? Avocadopiu (talk) 03:01, 18 October 2025 (UTC)[reply]
@Acovadopiu: yes, I have access to CUP as a member of the University of Cambridge; I haven’t been a student there for a while though so I don’t have as easy access to the libraries there as current students would. If you let me know what books you are looking to access I can look to see what I can get hold of, but if they would require me physically going to the university library you might get a faster response from someone else Caeciliusinhorto (talk) 19:47, 19 October 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks. At the moment I’d like (in that order):

1) Historia de la Republica, 1821-1985 Vol 2. (by Enrique Chirinos Soto).

2)El Paraguay Bajo Nacionalismo, 1935-1947,

3) El Mariscal Benavides Vol 2

I can’t find any current students of the university, so you’re my best hope of getting the sources I need. Avocadopiu (talk) 03:15, 20 October 2025 (UTC)[reply]

By the way, while searching through the Cambridge library catalogues, I found a book named Pumarejo en marcha hacia su revolución, which seems to only be available online for Cambridge associates. Could you check and see if you’d have access to it? Avocadopiu (talk) 05:40, 20 October 2025 (UTC)[reply]
@Avocadopiu: fixing ping Caeciliusinhorto (talk) 19:48, 19 October 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Are you not able to get the books I mentioned? Avocadopiu (talk) 07:35, 25 October 2025 (UTC)[reply]

@Avocadopiu: I don’t seem to have digital access to López Pumarejo en marcha hacia su revolución; it may only be available digitally to current students/staff, or I may be able to access it if I were on site. I could get the others by visiting the library, but I don’t know when I will be doing that. Even if I do get access to them, I wouldn’t scan an entire book – the WP:RX standard is for a chapter or reasonable page range. Caeciliusinhorto (talk) 18:06, 27 October 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Ok then. Let me know when you’ll be visiting the library. Would be willing to scan tables of content of the books when you do? I’ll make further requests from there. Avocadopiu (talk) 02:45, 28 October 2025 (UTC)[reply]
