Learn everything you need to know to get started.
The Teahouse
Ask questions and get help from experienced editors.
The Task Center
Learn what Wikipedians do and discover how to help. Has a list of maintenance tasks you can do.
- Don’t be afraid to edit! Just find something that can be improved and make it better. Other editors will help fix any mistakes you make.
- It’s normal to feel a little overwhelmed, but don’t worry if you don’t understand everything at first—it’s fine to edit using common sense.
- If an edit you make is reverted, you can discuss the issue on the article’s talk page. Be civil, and don’t restore the edit unless there is consensus.
- Always use edit summaries to explain your changes.
- When adding new content to an article, always include a citation to a reliable source.
- If you wish to edit about a subject with which you are affiliated, read our conflict of interest guide and disclose your connection.
- Have fun! Your presence in the Wikipedia community is welcome.
Hi there @Perryminkle! I’ve noticed you removing data-sort-values from filmography tables, like here. Perhaps you are unaware of how useful data-sort-values are, they allow sortable tables to properly sort titles in alphabetical order by ignoring common starting words like A or The at the beginning. This improves accessibility of the tables. It’s considered a desirable asset, as explained in several places such as Filmography tables. It’s fine if you yourself don’t wish to add them but if you could please not remove them it would be much appreciated, as adding data-sort-values is time consuming & thus rather disheartening to see them removed without explanation. Thank-you for your time! LooksGreatInATurtleNeck (talk) 00:37, 8 December 2025 (UTC)
Please stop your disruptive editing.
If you continue to disrupt Wikipedia, as you did at Steven Page, you may be blocked from editing.
Not only is it inappropriate for you to engage in edit warring with other editors, but you have consistently tried to introduce unreferenced content to the page, which goes against Wikipedia’s policy on citing sources. Lastly, using language such as “Seems you can’t read” is abusive and not tolerated on this platform. As a new, inexperienced editor, you need to tone down the arrogance and aggression and approach this project in a spirit of humility and collaboration. If you do not, and if you persist in edit warring and abusing other users, you may be blocked from further editing privileges. Revirvlkodlaku (talk) 00:38, 9 December 2025 (UTC)
