Please avoid labelling edits as vandalism unless they’re clear vandalism, which has a very specific definition on Wikipedia. Calling an edit vandalism just because you don’t seem to like it is rude at best. Thanks. ^LaffyTaffer💬(they/she) 15:03, 17 December 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Hello! Thank you for letting me know. I do not have dislike for any of these edits. Abbreviating bachelor of science as B.S. seems to be alluding to a swear word, and triggered the filters on the recent changes page. If this is not what you were referring to, please let me know which edit you mean! Thanks again.

What triggered the filters in recent changes for John B. Conway was someone else’s edit that added the subject’s death (which I think always gets tagged as a possible WP:BLP issue from new editors). Take a look at the page history to see what actually got tagged.

If there’s confusion over the definition of B.S. and can’t gather from context clues, one can simply click the link. But since you took issue with it, I unpiped it in the other direction, but WP:NOPIPE still applies. ^LaffyTaffer💬(they/she) 15:13, 17 December 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you for letting me know! I think it was a mistake on my part to be so rash. However, I do not think that the average Wikipedian, without hovering over the link, would be aware of B.S.’s meaning here. I am aware of NOPIPE and the definition of vandalism on wikipedia. I apologize for the confusion. I am sure you can see how this might look like vandalism, but it was my mistake. Thanks again!
