::[[User:Prothe1st|Prothe1st]] – You bet, and thank ”you” for all of the hard work that your contributions show that you give to this project. Like I said, please don’t be a stranger if you run into any questions or if I can be of any assistance. The rollback user permissions, how to use rollback, the relevant policies involved (basically, when it’s okay and ”not okay” to use rollback) – it’s ”very straight-forward” and ”damn easy” to understand and get the hang of quickly; you’re very likely not going to need my help at all. 😉 Cheers – [[User:Oshwah|~Oshwah~]][[User_talk:Oshwah|(talk)]] [[Special:Contributions/Oshwah|(contribs)]] 23:11, 3 February 2026 (UTC)

Hi there! I was wondering about this edit. The user seems to be editing in good faith, but you reverted several of their edits in a row without giving them much of a clue about what you saw as a problem. Joyous! Noise! 00:51, 25 October 2025 (UTC)
- I reverted because their edit looked unfinished when they put “In 1903” in the history section of the article without finishing the sentence. —Prothe1st (leave me a message)– 10:57, 25 October 2025 (UTC)
- Maybe next time someone edits like that, leave them a message about the problem specifically, instead of dropping a template. It’s part of assuming good faith. It takes a few extra minutes, but really helps keep new editors coming back. Joyous! Noise! 14:30, 25 October 2025 (UTC)
- Alr, will do next time. —Prothe1st (leave me a message)– 14:34, 25 October 2025 (UTC)

The dan hicken change i made was completely correct and was true idk why you flagged it ~2025-31878-07 (talk) 21:02, 8 November 2025 (UTC)
- The edit you are describing was reverted by an anti-vandalism bot called User:ClueBot NG as it detected the edit as potentially unconstructive and it is because you did not provide a reliable source regarding that info and placed negative information about them which violates the policy regarding biographies of living persons. Please see WP:BLP for more info. —Prothe1st (leave me a message)– 21:07, 8 November 2025 (UTC)
Thanks for your message on my talk page, but I won’t be requesting talk page protection at this time because the disruption isn’t too frequent for now. ~SG5536B 01:18, 9 December 2025 (UTC)
Hello, i’m Jack hoop. The user BaldiBasicsFan is editing the List of Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer cartoon studio films article as if it were an episode list of a TV series when it isn’t. Is that wrong? I just want someone to stop him and revert what he’s done if his edits are wrong. I think that filmography is fine as it is, except of course for the Iwerks Studio section and the changes balbibasics made to the Harman-Ising section by editing the wikitable sortable, or whatever it’s called, excuse my ignorance, like the ones for TV episode lists.
Thanks. Jack hoop (talk) 00:47, 23 January 2026 (UTC)
- In the future, please explain edits like this because removing large portions of a page without any explanation can be seen as disruptive. —Prothe1st (leave me a message)– 00:54, 23 January 2026 (UTC)
- Okay, that’s fine. Excuse me, but what about what i wrote to you? Jack hoop (talk) 01:53, 23 January 2026 (UTC)
Prothe1st, I need your help.
This sockpuppet is trying to gaslight people into thinking I’m attacking him, as you might be aware. Is there anything you can do to help block the sock? Alien456 (talk) 21:06, 1 February 2026 (UTC)
- They should block you, not me. ~2026-66670-9 (talk) 21:07, 1 February 2026 (UTC)
- Oh here you go again, trying to gaslight people into supporting your views. Alien456 (talk) 21:09, 1 February 2026 (UTC)

Hi Prothe1st! I’ve been running into you while patrolling logs and recent changes, and I happened to notice that you don’t have the rollback user rights. I hope you don’t mind, but I went through your contributions and I noticed that you’re quite active in recent changes patrolling and that you consistently view and revert vandalism and bad-faith disruption. I believe that the rollback user rights would be useful for you to have and that you’d make good use of the tools. Instead of having you formally request rollback at WP:PERM, I went ahead and just gave it to you. This user right allows you to quickly revert the edits of other users in cases of blatant vandalism.
Please keep these things in mind at all times when using rollback to revert edits:
-
- Being granted rollback is no more momentous than installing Twinkle. It just adds a “[Rollback]” button next to a page’s latest edits – that’s all. It does not grant you any additional “status” on Wikipedia, nor does it change how Wikipedia policies apply to you (obviously).
- Rollback should be used to revert clear and unambiguous cases of vandalism only, and never used to revert good faith edits.
- Rollback should never be used to edit war, and it should never be used in a content-related dispute to restore the page to your preferred revision. If rollback is abused or used for this purpose, the rights will be revoked.
- Use common sense. If you’re not sure about something, ask for help.
For more information on the user rights and how to use rollback, see this tutorial page.
I’m sure you’ll do fine with rollback – it’s a pretty straight-forward user right and it doesn’t drastically change the interface you’re used to already. Nonetheless, please don’t hesitate to leave me a message on my user talk page if you run into any questions, have any issues or troubles, or if you run into a revision or situation where you’re not sure if using rollback is appropriate or not and need my input or advice – I’ll be more than happy to help you any time you need it. If you no longer want the rollback user rights, let me know and I’ll be happy to remove it for you. Thank you for helping to locate, revert, and remove vandalism from Wikipedia – it’s a very thankless job to perform and I want you to know that it doesn’t go unnoticed and that I appreciate it very much. Happy editing! 😀 ~Oshwah~(talk) (contribs) 01:33, 3 February 2026 (UTC)
