:So people do patrol these weatherboxes huh? ECCC is complete trash and releasing incomplete normals from faulty stations to the public (reminds me of INMET), so this data does not deserve being held to a high regard. Approximated means are better than leaving eyesore holes on the weatherboxes, people expect to see a filled table showing the yearly mean when they check these pages. Yes this sort of thing could be handled better by putting asterisks besides the interpolated means though I’ve never seen that. You can’t just add the daily maximum and minimum together, divide by 2 and come up with the mean / average. Look at other numbers for the year such as January, the daily maximum is -27.1 and the daily minimum is -31.7. Adding them together you get -58.8 and dividing by 2 gives -29.4. However, the average at the ECCC site is -30.6. In December it’s -21.4 and -27.0, total of -48.4 and a average of -25.0. Of course people patrol the weatherboxes, do you think they just appear by magic? Glad you find the work of multiple editors a waste because that’s the impression you are giving. By the way I’ve been working at two of these “faulty stations” since 1978 (though not employed by ECCC)? Funny that airlines trust what we are doing! The point is Wikipedia works on having sources. “Approximated means” are original research and worse than using ECCC results.
