Thanks @Sundayclose this was literally my very first edit here, thanks for your input. Sorry to have overlooked some very key aspects of editing Wikipedia articles. I understand completely. We’ve all been there. And now that I reconsider your edit summary, I think you meant “reference” to mean “mention”. My misunderstanding. For future reference (no pun intended), on Wikipedia “reference” often mean a citation to a reliable source. No harm done. Thanks for your response. Hang in there. It gets easier after you’ve read a few articles and look at how those are written. I’ve added a welcome message to the top of this page that has a lot of helpful links. Hi Tommiji! I noticed that you recently marked an edit as minor at Girl (Beatles song) that may not have been. “Minor edit” has a very specific definition on Wikipedia—it refers only to superficial edits that could never be the subject of a dispute, such as typo corrections or reverting obvious vandalism. Any edit that changes the meaning of an article is not a minor edit, even if it only concerns a single word. Please see Help:Minor edit for more information. Thank you. A musician whose most recent album peaked at number two on the Billboard 200 (with a Billboard Hot 100 top-ten single) is not just “some guy”. A song by such a notable artist that garners a response from the White House and is reported on by major, legitimate press is the definition of notable.

It’s not a notable song, because it doesn’t have a Wikipedia article. You might also see MOS:MISC. If you think this song is so notable that it needs to be mentioned on some article not about that song, then write an article about the song. Magnolia677 (talk) 23:16, 7 October 2025 (UTC)[reply]
