:A musician whose most recent album peaked at number two on the Billboard 200 (with a Billboard Hot 100 top-ten single) is not just “some guy”. A song by such a notable artist that garners a response from the White House and is reported on by major, legitimate press is the definition of notable. |

::It’s not a notable song, because it doesn’t have a Wikipedia article. You might also see [[MOS:MISC]]. If you think this song is so notable that it needs to be mentioned on some article ”not about that song”, then write an article about the song. - Don’t be afraid to edit! Just find something that can be improved and make it better. Other editors will help fix any mistakes you make.
- It’s normal to feel a little overwhelmed, but don’t worry if you don’t understand everything at first—it’s fine to edit using common sense.
- If an edit you make is reverted, you can discuss the issue at the article’s talk page. Be civil, and don’t restore the edit unless there is consensus.
- Always use edit summaries to explain your changes.
- When adding new content to an article, always include a citation to a reliable source.
- If you wish to edit about a subject with which you are affiliated, read our conflict of interest guide and disclose your connection.
- Have fun! Your presence in the Wikipedia community is welcome.
- Thanks @Sundayclose this was literally my very first edit here, thanks for your input. Sorry to have overlooked some very key aspects of editing Wikipedia articles. I will attempt to re-add my edit with appropriate citations, etc. Thanks again for the critique/corrections! Tommiji (talk) 17:24, 30 December 2022 (UTC)
- I understand completely. We’ve all been there. And now that I reconsider your edit summary, I think you meant “reference” to mean “mention”. My misunderstanding. For future reference (no pun intended), on Wikipedia “reference” often mean a citation to a reliable source. No harm done. Thanks for your response. Hang in there. It gets easier after you’ve read a few articles and look at how those are written. I’ve added a welcome message to the top of this page that has a lot of helpful links. - Cool, thanks, no worries @Sundayclose. Precision in wording is what one expects in a dictionary, of course, so it’s always worth thinking and rethinking any edit in any article. Tommiji (talk) 18:46, 30 December 2022 (UTC)

Please stop adding non-notable songs at United States Immigration and Customs Enforcement. Please see WP:IPC. This is just some guy’s song. Thanks for your understanding. Magnolia677 (talk) 22:46, 7 October 2025 (UTC)

- It’s not a notable song, because it doesn’t have a Wikipedia article. You might also see MOS:MISC. If you think this song is so notable that it needs to be mentioned on some article not about that song, then write an article about the song. Magnolia677 (talk) 23:16, 7 October 2025 (UTC)
