On 10 August 2025, Did you know was updated with a fact from the article Mosaic effect, which you recently created, substantially expanded, or brought to good article status. The fact was … that the mosaic effect is the act of combining seemingly unrelated data to reveal sensitive or classified information that individual pieces of data would not disclose? The nomination discussion and review may be seen at Template:Did you know nominations/Mosaic effect. You are welcome to check how many pageviews the nominated article or articles got while on the front page (here’s how, Mosaic effect), and the hook may be added to the statistics page after its run on the Main Page has completed. Finally, if you know of an interesting fact from another recently created article, then please feel free to suggest it on the Did you know talk page.

Hi and thanks for your recent participation in AfD. I would like to hear your thoughts about the process. Please check this survey if you are willing to respond. Czarking0 (talk) 20:26, 2 September 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Hi and thanks for your recent participation in AfD! As you may have seen in my previous message, I am conducting a survey. Several editors have responded already and I do not want their hard work to go to waste. If you could take a few moments to make your voice hear please check this survey.
Don’t worry I won’t send you another reminder.Czarking0 (talk) 02:45, 9 September 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Sorry! I missed this. Which AfD was it? I’d be happy to look. — Very Polite Person (talk/contribs) 00:47, 13 September 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Is this article really neccesary? I’m suprised no one has nominated it for deletion, seems a little frivolous honestly. Jcoolbro (talk) (c) 18:17, 9 September 2025 (UTC)[reply]

It seems totally ridiculous that an encyclopaedic source would have such an article. Quadrow (talk) 17:17, 12 September 2025 (UTC)[reply]

You or @Jcoolbro are welcome to send to WP:AFD if you feel that is appropriate, or any other article listed on my user page: User:Very Polite Person. Please note I’m (as shown) pretty decent at “rescuing” articles from AfD, and that page is extremely heavily sourced and covers back to before his poltical career. — Very Polite Person (talk/contribs) 17:20, 12 September 2025 (UTC)[reply]

I am pretty decent at finding free photos of a lot of stuff pre 1989, if they exist. If you ever need any help with that, feel free to ask. PARAKANYAA (talk) 04:22, 11 September 2025 (UTC)[reply]

What do you think of Harley Rutledge?
My what’s NFCC this or that or the thing sucks; it doesn’t help that almost all my uploads come from government sources on Commons (easy mode). When I added something to one of my articles I couldn’t initially make heads or tails of the policies vs. law, which is probably odd as I write on legal topics too. The variations on licensing/free paths, I think, trips me up. The first time I threw in the towel, shoved the full text of multiple archived discussions into GPT, and ordered it to “ELI5” and find me the exact policy pages to read, which got me much closer. I still needed help after!
That guy: he’s got a ton of images in newspapers.com assets, if it helps. — Very Polite Person (talk/contribs) 02:11, 12 September 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Oh- and maybe Leik Myrabo? I couldn’t find anything, and was even poring through old NASA and some other agency PDFs and PPTs that had him mentioned (netted me one image for the article of one experiment at least). — Very Polite Person (talk/contribs) 02:13, 12 September 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Ha, I’m the opposite, I had no experience with copyright or legal stuff, but when I read about it I found it surprisingly interesting and not that hard to understand (in the context of images anyway).
And found images for both. There were a lot of images for Rutledge, both free and nonfree, and one image total of Myrabo. Thankfully it was free (though it was very, very, very annoying finding out if it was). PARAKANYAA (talk) 08:16, 13 September 2025 (UTC)[reply]

That’s incredible, wow. You think there’s any chance for Christopher Mellon? I’ve never had any luck. — Very Polite Person (talk/contribs) 19:02, 13 September 2025 (UTC)[reply]

@Very Polite Person No luck on Mellon, there were a few mentions of him and a few articles he wrote pre 1989, but no images. PARAKANYAA (talk) 23:39, 13 September 2025 (UTC)[reply]

What do you think are the odds for Amrom Harry Katz and Frank W. Lehan? You rock by the way.
Field propulsion for how heavy I want to tighten the sourcing is going to take months, so I think I may swing around some GA fine tuning for some engineers when I need a break. — Very Polite Person (talk/contribs) 03:13, 24 September 2025 (UTC)[reply]
By the way, check out this one that I found for here. — Very Polite Person (talk/contribs) 03:15, 24 September 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, VPP. Per your request at AN, I am imposing the following voluntary but enforceable CT/AP topic ban on you: You are banned from participating in or discussing Talk:Killing of Charlie Kirk § Requested move 11 September 2025 while it is ongoing, or while it is subject to any close review. I think a conceptually limited scope like that works better than time-limited. Please let me know if you have any questions. Tamzin[cetacean needed] (they|xe|🤷) 08:34, 18 September 2025 (UTC)[reply]

(Opt-out instructions.) —DPL bot (talk) 20:00, 7 October 2025 (UTC)[reply]

It’s at 289 words now. If you can shorten it to 230 words, that would be great. Or you could expand the body. I think it’s easier to shorten the lead, particularly the second paragraph. Viriditas (talk) 03:15, 8 October 2025 (UTC)[reply]

That edit was awesome just now. Let me see what I can do. — Very Polite Person (talk/contribs) 03:16, 8 October 2025 (UTC)[reply]

If you think 230 is too much, work towards 250. I can accept that. Viriditas (talk) 03:16, 8 October 2025 (UTC)[reply]

The two images below the infobox would work better spread throughout the article, perhaps one in each section. They appear bunched up on desktop and mobile. Viriditas (talk) 03:33, 8 October 2025 (UTC)[reply]

That looks great! I’m out the door but will complete the review later. Viriditas (talk) 04:04, 8 October 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Working on closing this out, but there’s still some problematic, clunky, confusing wording I’m trying to get through. If I can’t fix it, I’ll post a comment. Viriditas (talk) 23:56, 8 October 2025 (UTC)[reply]

I think what I might have to do is pull the sentences I can’t fix to pass this. You can then add them back when you rewrite them. Viriditas (talk) 01:19, 9 October 2025 (UTC)[reply]
