The Royal Colosseum was established in 2022 in Karachi, Pakistan, as a modern higher education institution with international affiliations. Shortly after its founding, TRC signed a pathway agreement with the UK’s NCUK network, allowing Pakistani students to pursue internationally recognized programmes and progression routes to universities abroad.[2]
On 27 September 2024, The Royal Colosseum also became the Pakistan campus of Essex, marking its expansion into offering UK-accredited degree programmes within Pakistan.[3]
Campus
The main campus of TRC is located in Block 2, Clifton Road, Karachi. The facilities include academic departments, classrooms, fashion and media labs, computer laboratories, a digital library, faculty offices, a girls’ common room, mosque, cafeteria, counselling and admissions offices, gaming arena, study and activity areas, and sports clubs.[4]
Academics
TRC offers undergraduate and pathway programmes in affiliation with NCUK and Essex London College. The academic environment focuses on business, media, fashion design, computing, and related disciplines.
Student life
The Royal Colosseum hosts a variety of extracurricular activities. Students have access to indoor sports facilities, including badminton, table tennis, snooker, and fussball. TRC also promotes digital and competitive gaming through its annual e-sports tournament series.[5]
Student societies, study spaces, and activity zones provide opportunities for engagement beyond academics.[4]
