Jeanne Bender (born August 13, 1955) is an American children’s author. She is best known for the Lindie Lou Adventure Series, a collection of illustrated chapter books that have been used in literacy and English as a Second Language (ESL) programs in multiple countries.^[1][2]

Bender was born in Sheboygan, Wisconsin, as Jeanne Ann Reichert. She studied writing in Seattle, Washington, and took additional courses at Oxford University in England.^[3]

Bender began writing the Lindie Lou Adventure Series in 2015. Her debut title, Flying High, was published the same year through her imprint, Pina Publishing. The series follows a small puppy named Lindie Lou on educational adventures around the world. The books have been distributed to schools, libraries, and literacy organizations in the United States, New Zealand, and Mexico.^[4]

Bender has presented at literacy events in North America and abroad. In 2023, her book Island Treasure was selected by the New Zealand Literacy Association for its annual conference book launch.^[5]
