The Day After (Kinabukasan) is a 2014 Philippine, melodrama short film written by Jerry Gracio and directed by Adolfo Alix Jr.. This short film features Nora Aunor, Alden Richards and Rosanna Roces.[1]
A story about a middle-aged woman, Ernest who was in the process of getting over from a painful loss. She had an unexpected visit from Niles, a young man who was linked from someone in her past. Niles has questions that she must help him find the answers.
Heinrich Domingo in Cinetatic described, “The Day After”, a short film that brilliantly captured the transition between lamentations and moving on.[2] The performance of the main characters defined the movie.
The Day After (Kinabukasan) won for Best Short Film at the 38th Gawad Urian Awards in 2015.
The short film was screened in Tanghalang Aurelio Tolentino, CCP Little Theater on August 8, 2015.[3]
