Strategos is an international strategy and innovation consultancy advising companies on growth strategy, innovation and transformation^[1]. The company was founded in 1995^[2] by London Business School professor Gary Hamel and a group of experienced consultants. Strategos uses methods^[3] that are based on the theories (e.g. core competencies^[4]) defined by Gary Hamel in his numerous books including Competing for the Future^[5] which he co-wrote with professor C.K. Prahalad.

Strategos was aquired in 2008 by UTEK along with Innovaro and Social Technologies. The practices and teams of Strategos and Innovaro merged and went private again in 2012. The current CEO is Michel van Hove.
