Karthik Yogi was born on 21 August in Tamil Nadu, India. He completed his legal education at the School of Excellence in Law, Chennai. After graduating, he practiced law for one year at the Madras High Court before pursuing a full-time career in cinema.

Career

Karthik Yogi began his journey in the film industry as a dialogue writer. He gained recognition as the dialogue writer for the film Maanagaram (2017), directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj. His sharp and realistic dialogues in the film were highly praised, earning him the Best Dialogue Writer Award at the Chennai International Film Festival.

Following this success, he ventured into direction and made his debut with the science-fiction comedy Dikkilona (2021), starring Santhanam in a triple role. The film marked his entry as a writer-director known for his engaging storytelling and humor.

His next directorial, Vadakkupatti Ramasamy (2024), further established his reputation as a filmmaker capable of blending comedy and strong narratives. The film won him the Best Director Award at the Rajasthan Film Festival.
