Just a user who loves the Beatles and many renowned Beatles tribute bands. I’ve been recently editing MLP and the Fab Four pages to spice them up. Been researching online and seen many sources detailing about some cool facts about the Fab Four’s history, before the Fab Four, and the members, and just uncovered some of the celebrities they meet/performed, famous venues, famous fans, and a 2002 meeting between Gavin Pring and Paul McCartney. I hope people will learn how the Fab Four and various other tribute bands truly capture the legacy, richness, and spirit of the Beatles.
- Making pages of other MLP FiM characters and potentially G5, G1, or even G3 characters.
- Making pages of members of the Fab Four. Ron McNeil already has a page, while Ardy Sarraf used to but was deleted. Gavin Pring has a page on the Czech Wikipedia. Now we need his English page and other popular members such as Tyson Kelly (literal son of songwriter Tom Kelly), Neil Candelora, Joseph Bologna, etc.
- Making pages about other popular Beatles tribute bands that aren’t on Wikipedia: Liverpool Legends, Britain’s Finest, The Cavern Beatles, Britishmania, American English, Beatles Complete, Studio Two, Classical Mystery Tour, and Yesterday.
- The cast of Liverpool Legends was hand selected by Louise Harrison, George Harrison‘s sister. The founder of the band was Marty Scott, who plays Harrison. The band has been around since the 2000s.
- Britain’s Finest was based on Southern California. The band has been around since the 2000s.
- Britishmania performed at a marathon in Central Park, New York City, during Queen Elizabeth II’s Diamond Jubilee.
- American English is based upon Chicago and was actually acknowledged by Paul McCartney via satellite. James Lynch, who plays Harrison, and Tony Giangreco, who plays Ringo Starr, were interviewed by Australian YouTuber Plastic EP, who has interviewed many members of the Fab Four and other Beatles tribute bands, even Julia Briad (John Lennon’s stepsister) and Pete Best (drummer before Ringo came). The band has been around since the 2000s. This first cite is another interview, this time the entire band.[1]
- Beatles Complete is the resident Beatles tribute band of the Cavern Club. They were interviewed by the BBC in 2023, and people generally treat them if the Beatles were still around. The band has been around since the 2000s.
- Studio Two was founded by twin brothers Stephen and Robert Murray in 2012, Stephen plays Lennon, while Robert plays Harrison. The Murrays created the band with several of their friends, most who are alumni of Berklee College of Music.[2]
- Classical Mystery Tour is another tribute but with a 41 piece orchestra that accompanies them in all their performances.
- Yesterday is another tribute act that mainly performs in Las Vegas. According to their website, they allegedly met Paul McCartney, in reality it was Toby Keith wearing a McCartney mask that was photoshopped in, according to Joseph Bologna’s wife. The website only did this to boost customer morale, and it’s still in the website.[3]
- Listing other notable performances and projects the Fab Four did on their page, along with more information of the Fab Four’s Disneyland residency leading to their success and introduction to a younger generation (Z) from 1998 to 2005.
