WorkConnect Alberta (often referred to as WorkConnect) is an employment support program operated by WCG Services in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. The program is funded through a partnership between the Province of Alberta and the Government of Canada.^[1]

WorkConnect provides employment services to Albertans with disabilities who are unemployed or underemployed. Services include personalized career coaching, job search support, training opportunities, work experience placements, and access to digital learning resources. The program serves individuals across Calgary through both in-person and virtual delivery. ^[2]

WorkConnect is operated by WCG Services, an organization that delivers employment and rehabilitation services in Canada.^[3]

WorkConnect offers:

• One-on-one career coaching, resume writing, interview preparation, and digital literacy support.  

• Group workshops on job-readiness skills such as communication, job search, and workplace skills.

• Access to an online learning platform, “Employable Me,” offering microlearning resources for career planning and job search support.

•  Paid training for certifications such as First Aid and ProServe, short-term work placements, and job retention support. ^[4]

To be eligible, applicants must identify as having a disability, reside in Alberta, be legally entitled to work in Canada, be 18 years of age or older, and be unemployed or underemployed (working fewer than 16 hours per week). The service is offered at no cost to job seekers. ^[6]

• The WorkConnect program was launched September 5, 2023.  

• A second iteration of the program was launched on October 1, 2025 that included new features such as in-person services, work exposure opportunities, and improved versions of WorkConnect’s digital learning resources.

• Funding Duration: WorkConnect is funded until December 31, 2027
