The article Draginja Vlasic has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Tagged as Unreferenced for 13 years. Tagged for Notability concerns also for 13 years. No other language has a reliably sourced article from which to translate; the Serbian language article has one reference and an external link.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article’s talk page.

Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Hello everybody, can someone who is an expert on topic evaluate recently added big chunk of text in Serb uprising of 1848-1849 [[1]], I already found some issues regarding false linking (you can check my talk page, talk page of the article and even teahouse) and removed parts of it [[2]] however there are more issues regarding the style of writing i.e I couldn’t find any nation called the Serbian Servians in international scholarship in which this editor is referring to so maybe can someone check it. Thank you. Theonewithreason (talk) 14:57, 10 August 2025 (UTC)[reply]

The original source from docplayer.ru (which has succumbed to link rot) is avaliable, if you want it email me FYI. —Matrix(!) ping onewhen replying {ut?uselessc} 15:22, 10 August 2025 (UTC)[reply]

For WikiProjects that participate in rating articles, the banners for talk pages usually say something like:

There is a proposal to change the default wording on the banners to say “priority” instead of “importance”. This could affect the template for your group. Please join the discussion at Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Council#Proposal to update wording on WikiProject banners. A large number of articles on Serbia-related topics use the English translation of a name, and in brackets put the {{langx}} template. This then reads as

Nikola Tesla Airport (Serbian: Аеродром Никола Тесла, romanizedAerodrom Nikola Tesla)

I recently heard the argument that this is incorrect, because Serbian Latin isn’t “romanized” anything, the Serbian language is equally written in both. I completely agree — this isn’t Chinese, where an unfamiliar alphabet has to be transliterated into English, we have a Latin alphabet that we use.

I propose that we somehow adopt an official stance that Serbian names should be rendered like this instead:

Nikola Tesla Airport (Аеродром Никола Тесла/Aerodrom Nikola Tesla)

Does anyone have any issues with this? If no, is there any practical way to formalise this? JustARandomSquid (talk) 09:49, 11 December 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Pinging @FkpCascais, because I found out about this from them, but they appear to be on a protracted wikibreak at the moment, so I don’t expect a reply. JustARandomSquid (talk) 09:54, 11 December 2025 (UTC)[reply]
We’ve had numerous discussions about this at e.g. Talk:Romanization of Serbian and Template talk:Lang-sr-Cyrl. The default langx template doesn’t work well here, lang-x2 was made for this purpose instead, but the default code path in langx still works for the sake of compatibility, yet produces that phrasing that can be very odd in context.
Just edit the articles to use the latter by using the convenient wrappers {{lang-sr-Cyrl-Latn}}, {{lang-sr-Latn-Cyrl}}, etc. —Joy (talk) 13:09, 11 December 2025 (UTC)[reply]
