Please see source assessment table. I Googled the organisation for any signs of notability. However, I couldn’t find any WP:ATDs so presumably this page is a peacock entry from 2009 that fails NCORP

Source assessment table
Source Independent? Reliable? Significant coverage? Count source toward GNG?
Company contact page Company website Just a contact us form No
Company Website Company website Page of links to other parts of the company website No
~ Appears to be a paid advertorial piece. For example, the article’s author is writing about a free holday given to him by CV Villas. Therefore, he is obliged to write nice things about them ~ the article’s author is writing about a free holday given to him by CV Villas. Therefore, he is obliged to write nice things about them ~ While the article repeatedly mentions CV Villas several time but it is about the holiday home rental market, not CV Villas ~ Partial
~ Published by an independent publication but appears to be a long-form advert for CVTravel/Villas starring the former chanceller ~ The Telegraph is reliable for certain topics but not all topics. This appears to be a paid advertorial Only mentions CV Travel/Villas twice No
Company’s former home page Company website Significant but only hagiographicly No
Press release about Kuoni’s ac ~ Verifies the buyout but doesn’t contribute towards notability Just three paragraphs summarising the acquisition No

ymon, Ken (2007-06-24). “Boyle sells CV Travel for more than GBP10 million”. The Sunday Herald.

The Sunday Herald is a fine publication To the best of my knowledge the herald is a reliable source Reports on a single event therefor it is a primary source lacking the kind of indepth coverage over a broad timeframe to be considered a secondary source thus it cannot count towards general notability No

Fearis, Bev (2007-06-25). “Kuoni to buy CV Travel”. Travel Mole.

~ Aggregated press release ~ Verifies Kuoni’s acquisition but does not support notability Covers a single event No
dead link but I assume this is just another press release Travel Magazine likely connected with the subject Can’t access origional source due to link rot No

Fearis, Bev (2009-01-14). “CV Travel introduces UK collection”. Travel Mole.

Appears to be a nother travel trade press likely closely connected with the subject Source unkown Can’t access source No
Landing page for a different travel company Company websites are rarely 100% reliable or subject to the same editorial standards as the mainstream media Doesn’t seem to mention CV Villas/Travel No
Advertorial puff piece Clearly paid content It’s more about a villa than CV No
Travel blog Blogs are generally unreliable and do not contribute towards notability link rot No
appears to be the website of a jumbo jet rentals company rent This website leases jumbo jets, it is not a reliable source for wikipedia Page no longer exists No
Tradepress. Likely connected to CV Villas via money or free holidays or both There’s a WP entry about Travel Weekly’s parent company but nothing about travel weekly itself Takes the form of a press release about CV Villas’ expantion into sri lanka No
According to Wikipedia “As editor in chief, Evans coined the motto “Truth in Travel”, which declared that travel industry freebies would not be accepted” if we’re going by what Wikipedia says about this publication is factually correct then yes, it is reliable. It’s a top ten list of villa rental companies No
Per Wikipedia “As editor in chief, Evans coined the motto “Truth in Travel”, which declared that travel industry freebies would not be accepted” The lead of WP’s entry about Conde Nast Travel portrays it as a reliable publication Another top ten list that mentions CV Travel/Villas but isn’t about CV Travel/Villas No
Please see my previous comments about Conde Naste Travel Please see my previous comments about Conde Naste Travel The same top ten readers awards list exept this time it’s for the year 2008 No
CV Villas’ page says ‘CV Villas is part of The Kuoni UK group’ ~ might be ok for verifying Kuoni’s purchase of CV Villas but doesn’t count towards notability for companies Landing page of parent company No

  • Comment: The AfD nominator has 26 edits in total and previously created Stay22, “a Canadian travel tech company, headquartered in Montreal, that offers affiliate revenue generation opportunities for travel bloggers and media”. They received a {{uw-paid1}} message after this creation. Both CV Villas and Stay22 are in the travel business.

I agree that the current version of the article has promotional content. But this is not a policy-based reason for deletion, particularly since the 25 May 2009 version of the article that I edited is neutrally written and can be reverted to if needed.
