This is a collection of discussions on the deletion of articles related to Pakistan. It is one of many deletion lists coordinated by WikiProject Deletion sorting. Anyone can help maintain the list on this page.
- Adding a new AfD discussion
- Adding an AfD to this page does not add it to the main page at WP:AFD. Similarly, removing an AfD from this page does not remove it from the main page at WP:AFD. If you want to nominate an article for deletion, go through the process on that page before adding it to this page. To add a discussion to this page, follow these steps:
- Edit this page and add {{Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/PageName}} to the top of the list. Replace “PageName” with the relevant article name, i.e. the one on the existing AFD discussion. Also, indicate the title of the article in the edit summary as it is particularly helpful to add a link to the article in the edit summary. When you save the page, the discussion will automatically appear.
- You should also tag the AfD by adding {{subst:delsort|Pakistan|~~~~}} to it, which will inform editors that it has been listed here. You may place this tag above or below the nomination statement or at the end of the discussion thread.
- There are a few scripts and tools that can make this easier.
- Removing a closed AfD discussion
- Closed AfD discussions are automatically removed by a bot.
- Other types of discussions
- You can also add and remove other discussions (prod, CfD, TfD etc.) related to Pakistan. For the other XfD’s, the process is the same as AfD (except {{Wikipedia:Miscellany for deletion/PageName}} is used for MFD and {{transclude xfd}} for the rest). For PRODs, adding a link with {{prodded}} will suffice.
- Further information
- For further information see Wikipedia’s deletion policy and WP:AfD for general information about Articles for Deletion, including a list of article deletions sorted by day of nomination.
This list is also part of the larger list of deletion debates related to Asia.
- 24th Lux Style Awards (edit | talk | history | protect | delete | links | watch | logs | views) – (View AfD | edits since nomination)
- (Find sources: Google (books · news · scholar · free images · WP refs) · FENS · JSTOR · TWL)
As with the 23rd Lux Style Awards which is also currently at AfD, sources are simply promotional churnalism. There is nothing that discusses the ceremony as a whole that is significant, just lists of nominees and winners. CNMall41 (talk) 02:47, 21 December 2025 (UTC)
- List of Pakistan national cricket team hat-tricks (edit | talk | history | protect | delete | links | watch | logs | views) – (View AfD | edits since nomination)

A statistics-only page in violation of WP:NOTSTATS. Vestrian24Bio 13:34, 20 December 2025 (UTC)

Fails WP:GNG. There is plenty of promotional churanlism about the list of nominees and list of winners, but nothing in-depth about the award ceremony itself. CNMall41 (talk) 21:42, 10 December 2025 (UTC)

- @Nathannah:, I do, as well as categories such as Lux Style Award for Best TV Actress – Critics’ choice, but I would need to go through them all one by one as I think a proper WP:BEFORE would be in order. For instance, there may be significant coverage of one of the years for some reason (like the 1st annual since it is the inaugural one). —CNMall41 (talk) 22:26, 10 December 2025 (UTC)
- Note: This discussion has been included in the deletion sorting lists for the following topics: Film, Music, and Television. WCQuidditch ☎ ✎ 03:41, 11 December 2025 (UTC)
- Admin comment: this page was copied and pasted from Draft:23rd Lux Style Awards after the creator submitted it and it was rejected by AFC. The reject comment was “contrary to the purpose of Wikipedia”, one of the default responses. I have repaired the cut-and-paste move which has resulted in the deletion of the draft. - Every year since 2002 has its page, why should this one not have one? For reasons of navigation, it seems better to Keep all detailed articles, that are, basically, a verifiable list of nominees and winners [1], than to merge them into the main article. On top of that, the ceremony for that particular year seems also to have a slightly increased individual notability for having been delayed for political reasons (2 sources on page). I cannot see how this is contrary to the purpose of Wikipedia.–~2025-40435-92 (talk) 00:04, 17 December 2025 (UTC)

- See WP:INHERENT. Also, verifiability is not notability. I can verify I exist but I do not qualify for a Wikipedia. for NLIST, what sources talk “about” the ceremony, not just list winners and nominees? None that I can see which are not put out by the show and then churnalised by media outlets. We only need navigation for something if it is notable and this is not. —CNMall41 (talk) 04:47, 17 December 2025 (UTC)
- You mean that you think that the Lux Style Awards in general are not notable or did I misunderstand your point? ~2025-38537-34 (talk) 08:21, 20 December 2025 (UTC)

- Delete: there’s no significant coverage to illustrate notability; Also,
Every year since 2002 has its page
is an WP:OTHERSTUFF argument. Vestrian24Bio 03:34, 20 December 2025 (UTC)- No, sorry but that section in an essay does not concern set of articles RELATED to each other, especially those forming a chronological series with navigation logic; which is my point; it also would not prevail over Wikipedia:NLIST (2nd paragraph). Nor over Wikipedia:Article size: if the Awards are notable, verifiable detailed articles for every year make perfect sense, regardless of individual notability. Deleting just one year in particular seems absurd unless one can merge back ALL years into the main article. ~2025-38537-34 (talk) 08:14, 20 December 2025 (UTC)
- And again, that year is noted for being rather particular (see page, or my comment above or mention of that year in an article about the ceremony this year https://www.arabnews.pk/node/2625988/lifestyle) ~2025-38537-34 (talk) 08:29, 20 December 2025 (UTC) and https://tribune.com.pk/story/2577570/lux-style-awards-set-to-return-to-karachi or https://www.desiblitz.com/content/lux-style-awards-to-make-a-grand-comeback Or also check sources in Urdu or Punjabi if you wish.
