I will help clean-up this page. I am going to start with style and grammar edits. I am also going to modify MRD detection of the BCR-ABL t(9;22) translocation in CML is standard of care in most developed countries and is not limited to clinical trials. It extremely important for the monitoring of imatinib mesilate (Gleevec/Glivec)treatment and is in widespread use. I look forward to working with everyone to make this page an excellent wikipedia entry. BTW, I have been developing and performing molecular diagnostic tests for leukemia and lymphoma MRD for over 10 years.

I don’t really like the second section. I feel that the leukemia background is covered well in the leukemia wikipedia page. I would like to remove it entirely and go with a briefer description of the theory behind MRD (i.e. resistant clones, leukemia stem cells )and combine it with the Significance of MRD section.

MRD is a general concept in cancer biology and therefore the article should not have such a strong focus on leukaemia 81.98.98.171 (talk) 08:06, 5 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]
